The Galaxy Z Fold 4 started picking up the October SMR (Security Maintenance Release) last week. Following the initial rollout in Asia, Samsung expanded the update to Europe, Africa, Latin America, and now, the US. Both carrier-locked and unlocked units are receiving the update stateside. The new firmware version is F936USQS1AVII and F936U1UES1AVII, respectively. The Galaxy Z Flip 4, meanwhile, is just starting to receive the October SMR. Samsung has so far released this month’s security patch for the latest clamshell foldable in its homeland South Korea and the US....

According to an XDA report, the Google Play Games widget appears in the main Game Dashboard following this update. It shows your Play Games username, progress level, achievements, and leaderboards (if available) for games that support Play Games. Tapping this widget will take you to a new page where you can see a detailed view of your Play Games profile. At the top is your profile avatar with your Play Games progress level, username, and your Google account’s email address....

Now, the latter change for hotels is rolling out now but not quite fully fleshed out just yet. That’s down to Google working with the US Green Building Council and Global Sustainable Tourism Council to “begin importing” databases associated with eco-certified hotels. So the databases may not be fully available for any individual user. However, starting today, users who search Google’s page for travel will find an “Eco-certified” filter in the mix....
