It’s a bit of a strange move for Samsung, as the Galaxy S22 Ultra looks completely different from the rest of the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung should have launched the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Note. Which would have made more sense. However, they needed to use the “Ultra” name because that’s been their branding for the past few years. Now, the real question is, whether the Galaxy S22 Ultra lives up to the hype....
Samsung’s online shop confirms this. Unfortunately, the packaging only includes the USB-C data cable and not the power brick. Which means you’ll have to use an existing ac adapter or plug it into a USB port somewhere that can deliver power. Logically speaking, it would be reasonable to think that Samsung’s decision for leaving the ac adapter out is driven by more sustainable packaging. Less items in the box could potentially lead to a smaller box which means less packaging....
A three times lower S Pen latency on the Galaxy S22 Ultra should make for a more natural writing and drawing experience, much closer to a real-life pen. Galaxy Note series fans would rejoice at this news, after the disappointment of not having a Note phone in 2021. Samsung is also making the Galaxy S22 Ultra closer to a Note phone than an S Series phone design-wise. We have squared corners and a built-in S Pen slot on this phone....
