These are the first test builds for Samsung‘s 2022 foldables. As the development proceeds, we could see more such test builds surface. The company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 sometime in August or early September. The Galaxy Watch 5 series should accompany the foldable duo. The first stable software build for the devices should be One UI 4.1.1. Samsung has already confirmed that it is working on this minor update for its custom Android skin....

Samsung’s earnings report doesn’t break down the sales volume of the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 phones. However, the company states that the latest flagships brought “significant revenue growth” from their predecessors a year earlier. This either means the new phones have sold in more quantity or buyers are preferring the expensive models (Plus and Ultra) over the vanilla Galaxy S22. Either way, Samsung seems to be pleased with the sales of its 2022 flagships....

Samsung’s Q4 2021 operating profit of KRW 13.87 trillion (~$11.5 billion) is also its four-year high for the fourth quarter. That’s despite a special bonus payment to employees. The company last time topped that figure in the year-ending quarter in 2017, posting a profit of KRW 15.15 trillion. Its Q3 2018 profit of KRW 17.5 trillion remains the highest in the Korean brand’s history. For the full year of 2021, Samsung is reporting KRW 279....

According to the aforementioned retail listings, the new Galaxy S21 FE will switch to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G processor. That’s a downgrade from the Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 found on the existing model. Samsung may be looking to make an even cheaper Galaxy flagship with 4G (LTE) cellular connectivity. But there are also rumors of it supporting 5G. We shall find out soon. Apart from the less powerful processor, not much else changes on the new Galaxy S21 FE, though....
