The source is citing two sources within the company. It is said that Twitter either let go some of these workers by accident, or didn’t realize it will need their experience. Engadget did reach out to Twitter for a comment, but did not get a response just yet....

But when you click on it to open it and then return to your Twitter timeline, a Subscribe button will appear below the link. Clicking this button will prompt you to confirm your subscription. And once you’ve done that, your subscription is complete....
