The Geekbench listing (via) shows the primary CPU core running at 3.0 GHz, while three are clocked at 2.5 GHz. The remaining four CPU cores run at 1.79 GHz. The Galaxy Tab S8+ is also packing Android 12 by default, likely with One UI 4, coupled with 8GB of RAM. The tablet scored a decent 1,211 on the single-core test and 3,193 on the multi-core test on Geekbench. The rest of the hardware specs remain a mystery right now, though we expect more information to follow in the weeks to come....

The latest update for unlocked units of Samsung’s three-year-old Galaxy Note models in the US comes with firmware version N97*U1UEU7HVF1. According to the official changelog, this update contains the June SMR and some additional stability improvements. The new SMR patches more than five dozen vulnerabilities affecting Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and more. Some of these vulnerabilities were found to have the potential to cause “critical” damages to users if exploited in the wild....

The first foldable prototype that the Korean behemoth showcased at the event is the Flex G OLED. It is a multi-folding display that can fold inwards at two different positions (via). This will allow for a more compact and portable mobile device. Samsung Display, the Korean conglomerate’s display manufacturing arm, also demoed what it calls the Flex S OLED. It is a dual-foldable panel that can fold inward as well as outward....
