The rumor was passed along by a Galaxy user on Samsung’s official community forums in South Korea. The forum post doesn’t reveal much else about the new fitness tracker. One user suggests the company could charge around KRW 49,000 – 50,000 for the wearable in its homeland. That’s the same price tag (KRW 49,500) the Galaxy Fit 2 debuted with a couple of years back. So the Galaxy Fit 3 should cost the same $60 in the US too (€50 in Europe) when it arrives later this year....

Project Manager at Samsung Electronics, Chang Wan Kim, detailed what the teaser/animated short was about in a press release (via). “We wanted to create a short film that expressed our gratitude to the fans who have always supported us and have stayed ‘together’ during the pandemic,” Kim said. Although no specific timeframe was offered, the press release notes that a “small but powerful gift from Exynos” is coming “early next year,” hinting at the official arrival of the Exynos 2200....

Technically this isn’t the first time 1440p resolution has been available. Google officially announced that support was added for Chrome users back in May of 2020. But at that time it wasn’t actually possible to select 1440p as a resolution quality in the settings. As 9To5Google points out, it would work if you had the right conditions for your setup. Which required setting the resolution option to 4K while using a monitor that was above 1080p resolution but not capable of 4K....
