At 32-inches, the monitor is easier to fit on smaller desks. Or provide more space on larger desks if you simply wanted more room, than Samsung’s monster Odyssey Neo G9. Seeing as that comes in at a whopping 49-inches and it’s ultrawide....
The new machine uses full-cut substrates to deposit organic materials vertically. This technology is reportedly more economical for producing larger OLED screens. Samsung Display currently uses the Gen 6 (1500x1850mm) substrates to make displays for smartphones as well as tablets and PCs. According to the new report, Ulvac is demanding KRW 700-800 billion (roughly $540-615 million) per unit for the Gen 8.5 deposition machines. That’s significantly more than the KRW 500 billion (~385 million) price of Gen 6 machines....

But more importantly, it’s another indication that the company has finalized everything for the Galaxy S23 series. The company could begin mass production of the devices anytime now. Perhaps if rumors are anything to go by, mass production may already be underway at one of its factories....
However, it does confirm what we have been expecting all along. That the Galaxy S22 series is out-selling its predecessors. According to the report, 69 percent of the surveyed store representatives said that the Galaxy S22 phones are seeing greater demand than the Galaxy S21 trio last year. If not for component shortages, which have affected the supply of the Galaxy S22 trio, the devices could have sold in even higher numbers....
