Starting this week, viewers on YouTube mobile apps will see a new “Translate” button below comments written in foreign languages. Tapping it will instantly translate that comment to their native language. Once the comment has been translated, that button is replaced by a “See original” button, with a “Translated by Google” mark. As expected, it will let you switch to the original version. YouTube says users can translate comments between more than 100 languages....

What Google doesn’t say, obviously, is how many software updates it’s going to be cramming in between now and then. It’s likely that there will be at least one more major OS update for the watch within three years. And potentially more. Considering the Pixel Watch is supposed to be a big turning point for Wear OS. But unfortunately even if Google is thinking that far ahead, it’s not letting on....

During its Q3 2020 earnings report in October, Google had announced that it has reached 30 million paid subscribers across YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium. Over the past year or so, the two services have added another 20 million paid subscribers. That itself is a big achievement. YouTube isn’t telling how much revenue it is making from these 50 million users, neither does it reveal the average price subscribers pay between the two services....

An earlier leak had revealed that the vanilla Tab S8 will feature 45W charging, but perhaps that’s true for all three models. If you recall, that’s the same charging speed we get on the Galaxy Tab S7 series. So the new models seemingly won’t bring any upgrades in this department. It’s not really a bad thing though. 45W fast charging is quite fast for tablets. The Galaxy Tab S8 series could also feature battery packs identical to the Tab S7 series....
