Naturally, getting the One UI 4.0 update also means that these devices will get Android 12. One UI 4.0 is currently under development with no word on a release timeline for the stable build. Phones like the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra are reportedly top of the list. The unreleased Galaxy S21 FE will get the Android 12/One UI 4.0 update as well. Older Galaxy phones such as the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10e, and the Galaxy S10 Lite will also see the new update....

The stable One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is rolling out with firmware version F916BXXS2FULE. The new release also bundles the December 2021 Android security patch. Though this month’s SMR (security maintenance release) brings fixes for plenty of vulnerabilities found in Android OS as well as Samsung’s One UI, it’s of little significance in front of the number of other goodies that are part and parcel of this update....

It appears to be a minor software release for the two wearable lineups. According to the official changelog, this update “provides performance improvements and enhancements” to the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4. Samsung may have made some software optimizations that iron out functional anomalies and improve the overall functionality of the devices. There may also be some bug fixes in tow. Don’t be hopeful for major new features, though....

The company says that the new SSD will go up for pre-order in November. There will be four models to initially choose from. A 1TB model and a 2TB model, both with and without the heatsink. Samsung also plans to launch a 4TB model of the drive in 2023. Unfortunately, it hasn’t given out specific availability dates for the 4TB model. But it should come in both heatsink and non-heatsink models....
